| If
your application is reviewed and accepted, you will be requested to take a
test through the web site created specifically for Phoenix MedCom, Inc.
There is a combination of Operation notes and discharge
summaries/consultations, letters, as well as tests in a particular
specialty if appropriate. The reports are emailed to you, and any standard
media player, headset and foot pedal will
work. You will have a set time to take the test and email the reports back
to our QA Manager, who will review the reports and
feedback will be supplied to you.
Career Step is the company that occasionally hosts our testing. We have an affiliation
with this Medical Transcription training company, and while we don’t
hire without experience generally, we have tested many Career Step graduates,
and some have proven able to work with acute care facilities with direct
training support from Phoenix. They also will gladly accept for continued
training any MT who applies to Phoenix who requires a deeper level of
expertise before working with Phoenix. The applicant must, however, contact
Career Step directly for information.
Please utilize all reference material at your disposal while
testing. As stated in Requirements, typos, misspellings
of medical terms and drugs are heavily weighed and those tests are generally
not
accepted by Phoenix.
You may apply for a retest. The retests are granted on a case by
case basis.
Click here to find the training voice files if instructed.
