Our email service is provided by an encrypted mail service, with secure internet delivery of documents. Verisign Global Site certificates are used, and they support 128 bit SSL encryption for our internet platform.  We use passwords for user authentication which are stored in an unreadable form and when log-in is attempted, the results of the newly typed in password are compared with the stored version, and only if the two match, will the user be admitted to the site.

We utilize a secure FTP site for transmission of the documents. Our HIPAA procedures are modified to keep pace with HIPAA’s requirements. Any ADT files secured from the client are transmitted via this secure FTP site.

Phoenix MedCom, Inc.’s, HIPAA compliance includes a Policy and Procedures manual that encompasses Privacy, Confidentiality, and Security policies and measures practiced by our company. All our employees and MTs are trained in changing passwords and following all the guidelines recommended or required by HIPAA.

Business Associate agreements are signed that are customized for the client’s requirements regarding notification of a breach of security, subcontractor requirements, access to information upon request, procedures and practices.
